Adidas X Gbadebo

Throwback to the @lev3ls_ × @adidaslondon Made Originals event last week! A huge Thankyou for getting me involved and allowing me to run an upcycling workshop helping spread the message about sustainable fashion and the process of reusing/recycling with garments you can find in the home. I was challenged by Adidas to create a garment out of their old stock that embodied all Gbadebo stands for. I created a multiuse, reversible zip up utility vest/gilet. Made from joggers, shorts and a sweatshirt, Wanted to create a unisex patchwork piece to pay homage to early Gbadebo silhouettes/styles. The piece will be raffled off on the Adidas app up until the 9th of November.

With over 250 people coming through to celebrate and experience live performances, styling talks and my upcycling workshop, the event was a great success. We spent the afternoon making drawstring bags from old Adidas deadstock leading to customisations using homemade stencils and eco-friendly textile spray paints. Check out our instagram for more details on the event and to see BTS clips of the day.
